Bakugo Katsuki starts off his story as Deku’s childhood friend turned bully who treats the main character awful for a number of reasons not least of which being that Izuku was born without a quirk. In the first season we see Bakugo coming to terms with the fact that Deku ISN’T going away, with Deku becoming more of a proper rival during the events of the Sports Festival where he proves himself time and time again alongside the Explosive hero. In Season 3 Deku and the others manage to save Bakugo when he’s kidnapped by Villains but Bakugo blames himself for the end of All Might leading to a great fight between the two boys who finally accept eachother as true rivals, and as Bakugo catches up to everyone by getting his Hero License, we see that Bakugo takes a more central role in Deku’s training, however in Season 6 Bakugo sacrifices himself for Deku barely surviving the affair before apologizing to Deku to get his friend to come back to school, and in the final arc to buy some time for Deku to arrive, Bakugo sacrifices himself ONE more time finally putting himself in Deku’s shoes against Shigaraki, proving he’s just as much of a hero as Deku.
