Mrs. Afton (Beth) is a victimizing, over controlling, and greedy women. She always plays the victim, She's not a good person its hers and Williams fault that there relationship falled apart she only took the role of playing the "victim"

She does care for her children unlike William who is way too focus on achieving immortality. Ballora was made to reflect Mrs. Afton Blind to his work and only wants to sing and dance for Mrs Afton she is blind not only to William but her children too.
