Hi everyone!
I really wanted to make this AMV.
It came in my mind even before the previous one, so you can imagine how I sufferend when I found myself impossible to work on it^^

You know? It's really difficult, not to say impossible to find good anime settled in Ancient Rome.
Most of times, Rome is only taken as model to create imaginary Empires for some fantasy-themed series, and almost everytime, that you believe it or not, such Empires are the Bad Guys. The same Rome is commonly presented under a bad light the few times it makes its appearence.
The main reason probably lies in the strong nationalism and sense of independence of the Japanese culture. For a nation never subdued to a foreign dominion, so proud of its freedom, it's really difficult to imagine as "good" an Empire that during centuries spread its dominion over hundreds of other different populations. And this often results into ignoring that Rome was not only conquests and wars, but also culture and even, as incredible as it may be for a Japanese, the first example of civilized globalization, where every man, no matter his birthplace, was citizen of a big nation.
