5 Gokus from 3 Dragon Ball Z Dubs

For the first time in convention history, we had five Goku voice actors participating in an all Dragon Ball panel from last year’s Kameha Con. The guests were OG Funimation Kid Gohan and Kid Goku voice actor Stephanie Nadolny, Ocean Dub voice actors Ian James Corlett, Peter Kelamis, & Kirby Morrow, and Latin American voice actor Mario Castañeda. Geekdom101 moderated this panel. The event kicked off with Geekdom asking all five Goku voice actors various questions about Dragon Ball. The voice actors then took questions from audience members. The panel wrapped up with a history-making “Kamehamehaaaaa!” from all the actors.

More about Stephanie Nadolny:
In 1999, after Funimation decided to make the dubbing for DBZ in-house, Stephanie was cast in the role of Kid Gohan, a role she took over from Saffron Henderson who voiced Gohan in the Canadian dub. Apart from Gohan, she also voiced baby Trunks, East Kai, Cargo, Miss Hamilton, Angela, and Idasam. When Funimation decided to dub the first Dragon Ball series, Stephanie was also cast as Kid Goku, a role she reprised in Dragon Ball GT. Apart from voice acting, Stephanie is also a singer and has sung the opening and closing songs for various animes such as Case Closed, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Dragon Ball GT.

More about Ian James Corlett:
Ian had hands-on experience in the recording booth in the 1980s when he programmed some drum tracks and helped with some computer sequences for a Queensryche’s album called Operation: Mindcrime. He went on to voice characters from memorable animated shows. These include being the first English dub voice actor for Adult Goku in Dragon Ball Z, Cheetor in Beast Wars: Transformers, Coconuts in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and many more!

More about Peter Kelamis:
Not only is Peter a voice actor, but he is also an on-camera actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known as the voice of Goku for the Saban dub, which he took over from the first Adult Goku voice actor Ian James Corlett. Apart from voicing Goku, Peter is also the voice of Rolf in Ed, Edd and Eddy, Whiplash in Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Wing Saber in Transformers: Cybertron, and Villads in the Dragon Prince. He has been on-camera on shows like The X-files, Stargate Universe, NCIS, and IZombie.

More about Kirby Morrow:
Kirby majored in theatre at Mount Royal University, located in Calgary, Canada. Kirby is known as the third voice actor for Goku in the Ocean Dub, taking over from Peter Kelamis. He is also known as the voice of Miroku in Inuyasha, Rey Za Burel in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Aikka in Oban Star-Racers, Michelangelo in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, and more!

More about Mario Castaneda:
Mario studied acting at the Andres Soler Institute. He is best known as the official voice for Goku in the Spanish Dub for Latin America of DBZ. The actor has also given his voice to shows like Sherlock, Friends, Hannah Montana, and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mario is also the Latin American voice actor for Hollywood stars like Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey, and Mark Ruffalo.
