I took a great big bite of my burger and smiled at my girlfriend, Natasha.

“I’ve been looking forward to this all day!”

“Oh my god Paul! You and your food! What are you like?”

“Don’t tell me you haven’t been looking forward to coming to this place too!”

“Well I have and I haven’t!”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, of course, I love coming here, I mean we do come every Saturday night! But I haven’t been looking forward to having to tell you something.”

“What is it?”

I noticed that Natasha took a deep breath,

“Come on, tell me what it is. You’re starting to worry me now.”

“Don’t freak out, ok, look, I’m moving schools.”

“What? No! Why?’

Pause. First, make sure you like and subscribe and hit that notification bell, then you might end up in the smartest school in the world too.

“I’ve been accepted into the smartest school in the world!”

“But that school is miles away from here, I’ll never see you!”

“I’m sorry, Paul, but it’s a great opportunity for me. I have to go.”

From the first time I met Natasha, it was obvious that she was super smart. I should have known that one day she would move to a better school. I was going to miss her so much. She was the perfect girlfriend and I was going to miss her so much.

“When are you leaving?”

“I start there on Monday.”

“WHAT? But that means I’ve only got tomorrow to spend with you!”

“Actually, this is the last time I can see you. I have so much to get ready tomorrow, things to prepare, I won’t have any time to see you.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I felt as though my heart had been ripped out of my chest.

“Natasha, I’m going to miss you so much. I know you have to go, but I can’t help feeling so sad about it.”
