TV Anime 'Heike Monogatari (The Heike Story)'

A TV anime based of Hideo Furukawa's translation of the 'Heike Monogatari (The Heike Story)' epic; Naoko Yamada (Koe no Katachi) dirceting the anime with Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden) as scriptwriter; premieres in Japan in January 2022; FOD (Fuji TV on Demand) service, Funimation & bilibili will begin streaming the anime ahead of its broadcast on September 15

◆SYNOPSIS
The anime shows the war's events through the perspective of Biwa, a young girl who makes a living as a traveling musician. Though blind, Biwa is gifted with the ability to see the future. She meets Taira no Shigemori, one of the patriarchs of the powerful Taira family, and tells him about prophecy that may change the future of his clan.
