Voice of Lupin the 3rd on

Tony Oliver was named to IMDB’s top 20 all-time Anime Voice Actors list! He started as the voice of Rick Hunter in Robotech, and since then has done countless notable characters including Lupin in Lupin the 3rd, Hibiki in Vandread, Ulquiorra in Bleach, and Minato in Naruto. He was a producer and the voice of Saba on The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. As a director he has done JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hunter x Hunter, BeyBlade Burst Turbo, Lego Friends, and the entire Fate Series.

Tony also teaches out of a recording studio in Burbank, Bang Zoom!, as well as in cities around the U.S. The program is called Adventures in Voice Acting.

After hearing about his career we realized he’s had a lot of “happy accidents” and had a career “stuffed with serendipity”.

Tony and I visited one night after A-Kon in Dallas, TX. Tony has done it all! He is or has been - Voice Actor / ADR Director / Producer / Story Editor / Director / Writer!

In addition to the credits mentioned above, Tony’s many voice acting credits include Hoodwinked Too, The Muppet’s Wizard of Oz, Gojyo in Sayuki Reload, Harry in Gun Grave, Ranmaru in Tokko, and Shinbo in Cho-bits. He’s also done voices in video games such as Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, Lord of the Rings: The War of the Ring, Dynasty Warriors, World of Warcraft, Everquest, and Neverwinter Knights.

As mentioned above, Tony worked on The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In 1992, he was tapped to help create a new kind of children’s television show. The result was this mega hit! Tony not only served as the development producer and head writer but also wrote the pilot, co-produced the series, directed the voice actors, played the voice of Saba, and produced the Power Rangers live appearance at Universal Studios, which drew an estimated 50,000 people on a single day. Later in the year he co-developed and wrote the script for the international sensation, Mighty Morphin Power Ranger – Live Tour.
