Sports anime are incredibly popular and a mainstay genre of anime that has truly grown to expand its repertoire. You name the sport and there’s an anime about it. And if not, just wait, there definitely will be. From basketball, baseball, swimming, figure skating, to gymnastics, there’s no end to them.

Sports anime are so appealing because of their large and varied cast of quirky and relatable characters, the stunning animation, exhilarating action, even the surprising depth and rollercoaster of emotions, and its lovable overdramatics in every play.
